JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A motorcyclist is dead after a crash with a car Friday morning, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Troopers said the crash happened on Lem Turner Road at Snell Street on Jacksonville’s Northside.
Crews with the Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department responded to the crash where they initially reported there were critical injuries.

FHP later said the motorcyclist was pronounced dead at a hospital.
The northbound lanes are currently blocked in the area as troopers investigate.
Drivers are asked to avoid the area.
