JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Police are working to learn what led to a shooting that left a man dead Tuesday night in Jacksonville’s Brentwood neighborhood.
Officers with the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said they were called out to the 4000 block of Perry Street around 6:25 p.m. in regard to a shooting.
When they arrived, JSO said a 29-year-old man was found dead and had been shot multiple times. His identity has not been released.
The Sheriff’s Office said they found another man, a 22-year-old, hiding in a nearby shed with an “unknown injury.” He was taken to the hospital and is expected to be OK.
“At this time detectives do not know the relationship of anyone involved,” JSO said.
Detectives are speaking with witnesses and looking for any surveillance video.
