JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office told Action News Jax that a man in his mid-twenties was shot in the groin Sunday night.
The man said he was walking to his apartment near La Ventura Drive East on Jacksonville’s west side when a man who was described as a black male wearing all black clothing approached him and shot him.

JSO said they didn’t have a motive for the shooting and weren’t sure if there was more than 1 shot fired.
The gunshot victim’s injuries were not life-threatening, according to police.
