JACKSONVILLE, FLa. — If you don’t have time to wait in line at the Tax Collector’s Office in Duval County, don’t worry! You can now complete your vehicle registration tag renewal at a kiosk near you.
Tax Collector Jim Overton announced Monday the new convenient way to renew your license plate, which is available after hours and even on the weekends.
The touchscreen self-service kiosks are at three select Publix locations. They allow you to renew your vehicle registration and receive the documentation and decal instantly. The machine will print everything for you on the spot.
You will need the license plate number and birth date or the PIN number printed on the registration renewal notice. Follow the instructions on the screen and complete the process in less than two minutes.
The installation of kiosks comes less than two months after the Tax Collector’s Office launched ExpressLane, an online renewal service with a same-day pick-up.
NOTE: Registrations with stops or holds cannot be renewed at the self-service kiosk. Customers who have updated their insurance information must wait two to four days to renew at a kiosk.
