New shopping center, including Publix, to open in eTown by 2023

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A new shopping center is coming to eTown by 2023, including a Publix within walking distance for residents.

The developers of eTown, the PARC Group, and the Davis Family Company announced the new additions Tuesday.

The Publix will host a 48,000-square-foot supermarket, plus a Publix Liquor and Publix drive-thru pharmacy.

An additional 40,000 square feet of retail space will be available for other retailers to join the new town center.

“We look forward to bringing these highly anticipated retailers to the eTown community,” said Michael O’Steen, Managing Director of Commercial Development at the PARC Group. “The success of eTown continues to draw interest from popular local and national retailers, and we remain committed to meeting the lifestyle needs of our residents and our growing community.”

The developers said construction is set to begin in early 2021, with a scheduled opening by 2023.

Skinner Bros. Realty joined the developers to build the new center in Exchange East.

“We are excited to bring a first-class grocery operator and desirable retailers to the residents of eTown. This is just the beginning of what will emerge as a vibrant, village center for the master-planned community,” said Riley Skinner, Vice President of Skinner Bros. Realty.

The new town center will be in the eTown Village Center, which is at the heart of the community.

It will be within walking distance for residents and will include shops for day-to-day needs, places to eat and drink, a health care center, and plenty of outdoor space.
