JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — UPDATE 11/15/2021 4:45 p.m.:
Right now, police are looking for a man in a red Toyota Corolla.
According to the report, JSO said the victim and his girlfriend were waiting for a tow truck when a man in a red Corolla came back to the scene. The suspect then fired into the victim’s car, striking him in the leg.
The victim, a 22-year-old male was using his belt as a tourniquet until the police arrived, according to JSO.
Action News Jax is working to get in touch with the victim and his girlfriend.

Police are investigating two incidents that were the result of road rage in Jacksonville on Sunday night.
The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office initially responded to a hit-and-run crash at the off-ramp to Emerson Street from the Hart Expressway, that was called in by the victim.

At the scene, officers learned the crash happened following a road rage incident.
Just a few minutes after officers left the crash scene, JSO said the suspect returned and fired at least one round into the driver’s side door, hitting the driver in the leg.
The driver retaliated, firing back with his gun multiple times, according to police. JSO is working to learn if the suspect or his vehicle was hit by the driver’s gunfire.

The driver at the scene was taken to the hospital and is expected to be OK.
