JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Police are working to learn who shot a teenager Thursday morning on Jacksonville’s Westside.
Officers responded to the Vintage at Plantation Bay apartment complex near Collins Road at 6:35 a.m. after receiving several calls about gunfire.

The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said when officers arrived, they found the teen, who had been shot multiple times, in the front of the entrance of the complex.
He was taken to a hospital in life-threatening condition, police said.
Police are speaking with several witnesses but at this time, no suspect information has been released.
