JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A young man is dead after a shooting in the 1500 block of West 15th Street in Durkeeville, the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said Thursday morning.
Police said they responded to the area and found the victim, who they believe was shot five to seven times, in the road. He was taken to a hospital, where he died.
JSO believes he is in his late teens or early 20s.

Police said another person, believed to be related to the shooting, walked into Memorial Hospital after being shot in the arm. Their injuries are non-life threatening.
JSO said they are also speaking with two other people in connection to the shooting at the Sheriff’s Office.
There is no suspect information at this time. Anyone with information is asked to call police.
