Seven indicted for first-degree murder in Duval County

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Duval County grand jury has indicted seven for first-degree murder on Thursday.

Action News Jax has covered each of the seven individuals who were indicted. They are as follows:

Marcus Heath is the son of a woman found dead in a Jacksonville home on Mossbrook Court in 2018. He has been indicted for first-degree murder in addition to grand theft auto and tampering with evidence.

Gerod Fields (pictured on the left) and George Prince (pictured on the right) were accused of killing a pregnant teenager in Jacksonville in 2019. They have now been indicted for two counts of first-degree murder and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Keyon Paige was arrested on murder charges in Feb. of 2020. He has now been indicted for first-degree murder and four counts of armed burglary as well as one count of grand theft.

Jurgen Marku (pictured on the left) and Lavonta Burrell (pictured on the right) were arrested for a robbery that resulted in a murder. It happened in Mandarin in Feb. 2020. They have both been indicted for first-degree murder as well as armed robbery and conspiracy to commit armed robbery.

Steven McInnis was arrested in Jan. 2022 in connection to a woman’s murder in the 8000 block of Wilson Blvd. He was indicted for first-degree murder and tampering with evidence.
