JSO officers, SWAT team seen searching home on Jacksonville’s Northside

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Officers with the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office and SWAT were seen searching a home on Jacksonville’s Northside for several hours on Friday.

It happened in the 3400 block of Frances Avenue.

Neighbors in the area say they saw it all unfold.

“I heard three or four loud bangs and I looked out there and saw police and SWAT team and everything there and saw them taking people out of the house there,” said one neighbor who wishes to remain anonymous.

Action News Jax reached out to the home’s occupants and spoke with someone who claims to be a friend of the person who lives there.

“She ain’t got nothing to say. She has been through a lot,” the friend said.

They told Action News Jax one man, the husband of one of the occupants, was taken into police custody.

They took her husband to jail… on a suspended license,” The friend said.

The friend went on to say “there wasn’t no drugs here. They didn’t find nothing.”

Neighbors say this home has caused issues before.

“We don’t need it in the neighborhood,” they said.
