Jacksonville tattoo artist sentenced to 10 years in prison for sexual battery

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A popular tattoo artist was sentenced to 10 years in Florida State Prison for sexual battery, according to the State Attorney’s Office.

James Ranieri pleaded guilty on all five of his cases to sexual battery on Friday. Along with his 10-year sentence, he will also have 15 years of sexual offender probation and will be labeled as a sexual predator.

All victims were in agreement of his sentencing, the State Attorney’s Office confirmed.

The Volusia County Sheriff’s Office arrested James Ranieri, 36, on three felony charges out of Duval County in 2021 following multiple investigations conducted by JSO.
