UPDATE, 6/17/2020: The owner of The Tavern and The Wreck said a total of two Tavern employees have tested positive for COVID19, out of about 35 total employees tested between the two businesses.
The owner said they plan on reopening Thursday with safety measures in place.
The owner also said they met with Fire Marshal this week to discuss additional safety measures.

The owner of the Tavern in Jacksonville Beach confirms The Tavern has had an employee test positive for COVID-19.
- Both The Wreck and The Tavern are owned by the same person.
- There have been about 11 negative test results between The Wreck and The Tavern; about 16 employees tested total so far.
- One positive between the two bars, other employees’ results pending, more employees getting tested today and tomorrow.
