JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — An employee was seriously injured Tuesday at the Blount Island Marine Terminal, according to authorities.
The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office was called about a workplace accident. The victim was taken to a hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries.
JSO said the victim was working at the SSA Cooper paper warehouse at the time of the incident. The victim was seriously injured after a pallet of paper collapsed and pinned her to the ground.
No foul play is suspected at this time.
OSHA was notified and was responding to conduct a separate investigation.
