JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The family of a local woman killed more than 14 years ago is using social media to spread her story, and they're hoping police will reopen the case.
Vickie Cook, 19, was stabbed to death in her Jacksonville home while taking care of her children and two others in June 2001.
The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office said its cold case unit investigated Cook's case in the past, but it is not actively investigating the case now.
JSO said Cook's family contacted the Florida Department of Law Enforcement about the case, and the agency posted Cook's picture and details of the cold case on Facebook.
The FDLE Facebook post said: "Shortly after her attack, Jacksonville police were looking for two suspects. One was a black male driving a black Lexus. The suspect may have been wearing his hair in dreadlocks or cornrows and was about 5-foot-11 and 200 pounds. A second suspect who did not enter the house drove away in a stolen blue Ford Astro van with a temporary tag in the right rear window, according to police reports. If you have any information to share about this crime or the perpetrators, call Jacksonville Cold Case Homicide Detective Gary Stucki at 904-630-1157."

Action News Jax was at the crime scene in 2001 and spoke to JSO about the search for possible cars involved in the crime.
"The description on the Astro van would be a medium blue with a large gray stripe," former JSO homicide detective Jim Parker said in 2001. "We are definitely looking for the van and we are additionally looking for the black Lexus."
Cook's killer was never caught.
"The killers are still out there," Cook's aunt, Lisa Cook, said. "They know who they are. Someone out there knows something."
Lisa Cook said her niece planned to go back to school to become a nurse before she was killed.
Cook left behind two young daughters, who are now teens.
"She's been dead for 14 years," Lisa Cook said. "It's time for her killers to be brought to justice."
JSO said anyone who has any information on the case is asked to contact the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office at 904-630-0500 or by email at JSOCrimeTips@jaxsheriff.org. To remain anonymous and receive a possible reward up to $3,000, contact Crime Stoppers at 1-866-845-TIPS.
