JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — UPDATE: Florida Highway Patrol have identified two people involved in a fatal crash Thursday morning on I-295.
According to troopers, a Honda Odyssey traveling on I-295 went off the roadway into a grass median, struck a guardrail and continued to travel into a concrete pole.
The driver was killed in the crash. FHP identified her as Cynthia Reyes, 23, of Jacksonville.
The passenger, Jose Antonio Figueroa, 36 of Jacksonville was taken to a hospital with serious injuries.

A person is dead and another is seriously hurt following a single-car crash on I-295 southbound at Blanding Boulevard Thursday morning, according to Florida Highway Patrol.
Troopers say the driver died in the crash and the passenger was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The left lane is currently blocked. Troopers ask drivers to use caution in the area.
