JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — UPDATED 8:38 a.m.-
The Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department have reported a fatal car accident on Argyle Forest Blvd and Loch Highlands, leaving one dead and four injured.

At approximately 9 p.m. Friday, a Genesis with two occupants was headed westbound on Argyle Forest Blvd. and a Honda CRV with two occupants was headed northbound on the same road. At the same time, a pedestrian attempted to cross the road.
The driver of the Genesis lost control and hit the pedestrian before colliding with the Honda CRV. The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene by JFRD. The occupants of both vehicles were transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office believes that the pedestrian’s car broke down in the area, and she was attempting to cross the street toward the Dollar General Store. The victim was in her forties.
This marks the 65th deadly crash in Duval County this year.
Crews are working a traffic accident on Argyle Forest blvd at Loch Highlands blvd with multiple patients and a fatality. Expect delays in the area.
