FEMA to open disaster recovery center in St. Johns County

ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. — FEMA announced that it will be opening a disaster recovery center in St. Johns County on Saturday, Oct. 15.

The DRC will be located at the Wind Mitigation Building at 3111 Agricultural Center Drive, St. Augustine. The DRC is scheduled to be open daily from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The disaster recovery center will provide those impacted by Hurricane Ian with information, from Florida state agencies, FEMA and the U.S. Small Business Administration. Those that need it can get help applying for federal assistance, learn about the types of assistance available, learn about the appeals process and get updates on applications.

Other options are also available for those that might not be able to visit the St. Johns DRC location. Those that need assistance can visit disasterassistance.gov, use the FEMA mobile app, or call 800-621-3362 between 7 a.m. and 11 p.m.
