A Fernandina Beach man won $1 million in the CASH4LIFE game, making him the game's first winner in Florida.
Lawrence Albertie, 61, said he always picks up a scratch-off ticket but decided to try his luck at the new draw game one morning.
He bought the winning ticket from Flash Foods, 925-A South 14th Street, Fernandina Beach.
The Florida Lottery added CASH4LIFE to its portfolio of games on Feb. 17. The multi-state game offers two lifetime prizes with the chance to win $1,000 a Day for Life or $1,000 a Week for Life.
