JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A man is dead following a single-vehicle crash on I-295 at Normandy Boulevard Sunday night, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Kyle Sawyer, 30, of Darien, Georgia, was driving a Chevrolet Colorado pickup truck and lost control, struck a median guardrail and went across the northbound lanes, a FHP traffic report stated.
Troopers said he was ejected from the truck and pronounced deceased.
All lanes of I-295 south were blocked as a result of the crash.
FHP said Sawyer was not wearing a seatbelt.
