Final Foolio murder suspect sent to Tampa to face charges

TAMPA, Fla. — Davion Murphy was booked into a Hillsborough County jail Friday after being arrested in Jacksonville earlier this month in connection with the murder of local rapper Julio Foolio - born Charles Jones.

He is due in court on Thursday, January 16th.

The 28-year-old is the fifth and final suspect in the shooting death that happened in Tampa on June 23, 2024.

JSO said they have been working closely with the Tampa Police Department on the case.

According to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office, Murphy was arrested January 6th at an apartment on Labelle Street after a team effort by the SWAT unit, Gang Unit, and the U.S. Marshals Service.

Four other arrests have previously been made: 21-year-old Isaiah Chance, 21-year-old Alicia Andrews, 18-year-old Sean Gathright, and 30-year-old Rashad Murphy.

All are being held without bond on several charges, including first-degree murder related to gang violence.
