JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Action News Jax First Alert Weather Team said there is a freeze warning in effect for Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia until 4 a.m. Saturday.

Here’s what you need to know:
- It will be a cold night with a widespread frost and freeze with overnight temperatures dipping into the 20s near and west of Interstate 95 to the low 30s at the beaches.
- Below-average temperatures continue through the weekend but not as cold. Highs on Saturday will be in the 50s.
- Lows early Sunday will drop to near 30 near and west of I-95 with another round of frost; mid-30s to near 40 for the beaches.
- Sunday afternoon highs will reach 60 degrees.
- The warming trend will continue through the middle of next week with a break from any frosts or freezes.
