Notes from the First Alert Weather Team:

  • After some showers around the metro this morning, we’ve had some sun breaks and pleasant temps
  • Keep an eye on the weather on Sunday
  • A line of storms will be tracking across the area during the day
  • These storms will be moving in SE GA as early as 9-10 AM, approaching Jax by 12 p.m. and the beaches by 1 p.m.
  • There is a risk for severe weather, especially along & north of I-10
  • The strongest storms will be capable of damaging winds and a tornado or two
  • Grab a poncho if you’re headed to the Jags game, and be ready to duck inside if there’s lightning nearby
  • It won’t storm all day, rain activity should exit by late afternoon & evening
  • The sun comes out on Monday, then it gets cooler starting New Year’s Day
