CLAY COUNTY, Fla. — Monkeypox cases have now been confirmed in at least 43 states but the risk to the population is still low, according to the Florida Department of Health in Clay County.
Regardless, the DOH-Clay is monitoring the nationwide outbreak.

The department stated in a news release that it will investigate possible cases and notify residents of exposure. It will also offer the monkeypox vaccine to high-risk groups when it becomes available.
