Florida school custodian accused of placing cameras in bathrooms

A custodian at a Florida elementary school is accused of installing hidden cameras in school bathrooms.

According to the Palm Beach Post attributing to the Gainesville Sun, authorities said 34-year-old Roberteus Tampus Perez, of Cedar Key, had placed hidden cameras in two staff bathrooms at Chiefland Elementary School since 2016.

Perez was caught after a camera was found and police reviewed its footage.

Perez told authorities that he had placed cameras in the school restrooms nearly 10 other times, according to the Gainesville Sun.

Perez was arrested Tuesday and charged with voyeurism.
