VIDEO: Florida cop finds couple passed out with baby in backseat
A former teacher in Central Florida was arrested on Saturday after accused of having a sexual relationship with a student for months, police said.
Alex Palomino, 27, faces charges of unlawful sexual activity with a minor, the Orlando Sentinel reports.
On Oct. 9, the father of the 17-year-old victim told police about the relationship when his daughter admitted to having sex with Palomino for about 8 months. She reportedly began talking to Palomino through Snapchat while he was still working as a behavioral technician at Lake Academy in Eustis, the police report states.
Police said Palomino met with the girl at a hotel for sex three times, and they saw each other about “every other month,” the Sentinel reports.
The victim’s mother told police that about a month ago her daughter tested positive for an STD, according to the police report. The type of disease was not specified.
Police said Palomino is no longer a teacher at the school. He remains at the Lake County jail on a $45,000 bond, according to the Sentinel.
