More than a dozen acupuncturists and volunteers offered some free relief for veterans Friday.
They provided acupuncture for veterans, current military members, personnel and their families at the Palms Presbyterian Church in Jacksonville Beach.
Organizers say acupuncture can help with PTSD, anxiety, mental trauma, sleep issues and more.
One acupuncturist who participated in Friday’s event says a Vietnam veteran, the wife of a disabled veteran and former Navy SEAL were among those who took advantage of the free event.
Organizers tell Action News Jax they hope to offer a similar event for local first responders in the future.
