A inmate is on the run after reportedly escaping from the Telfair County Jail yard in Milan, Ga. Friday afternoon.

Deputies, the U.S. Marshals, and other state and local agencies believe Lee may be attempting to get to Jacksonville where he has family.

If Lee looks familiar, it may be because you’ve seen his face before.

In January Action News Jax told you he was wanted by the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office for armed robbery and aggravated assault out of Telfair County.

JSO officers believed Lee was hiding inside a home on Grant Street but came up emptyhanded following a search by a JSO SWAT team.

Lee later turned himself in without incident, according to JSO.

Now, two months later, the search is on again.

Officials say Lee is possibly wearing grey shorts and a white t-shirt instead of his orange jumpsuit.

Robert Lee is considered dangerous.

Police ask if you see Lee, please call 911 immediately.
