Glynn County Police offer $5K reward in 18-year-old’s murder

GLYNN COUNTY, Fla. — The Glynn County Police Department is offering $5000 to anyone with information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspect behind a local murder.

On Dec. 26, 2021, 18-year-old Amondrick Tijuane Roberts was shot and killed at Selden Park in Brunswick.

GCPD said earlier this month its preliminary investigation revealed the homicide took place during a fight involving several unidentified people. Witnesses told police they saw multiple people using cell phones and cameras to document the fight and possibly the shooting.

Anyone who took photos or recorded video are asked to submit them here. GCPD says all submissions are anonymous.

After clicking on the link, the system will ask you to provide your cell phone number. The cell phone number is needed to send you a text message with a secure direct link. Clicking the text message link will send you to a secure portal where you will upload the video or photos. GCPD says the link will expire within three days of being requested.

“We are saddened by the uptick in violence we have seen with over two dozen shootings this year” Chief Battiste said in a statement. “Glynn County Police will utilize every available resource to intervene in the rise in shootings and we pledge to launch new initiatives to combat this violence which is taking our young men and women from us for senseless reasons.”

“We want the young men and women of this community to know they are valued, they are needed, they are important, and their future is vital to all of us.”

To submit a tip, contact GCPD at (912) 554-7806 or by email at gcpdcrimetips@glynncounty-ga.gov.
