‘The GOAT of Hanukkah’: Girl celebrates successfully lighting the menorah, reciting prayer

PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. — The holidays bring many moments of joy and wonder, especially when it comes to seeing them through the eyes of young people.

Joy like this was displayed in a video shared with Action News Jax by Libby Blumberg.

A 12-year-old girl in Ponte Vedra Beach is shown in the video lighting the menorah on the first night of Hanukkah.

She’s laughing and talking about “the pressure” of lighting the menorah and saying the prayer.

“Daddy will step in and help you if you need it,” a voice off-camera reassures her.

“No, I don’t need it,” she replies.

She lights the candle and says the prayer in Hebrew. When she successfully finishes, she slaps the table with excitement and jumps up and down.

“I’m the GOAT. The GOAT. The GOAT of Hanukkah,” she says triumphantly.
