Graffiti found on Andrew Jackson statue

Action News spotted a picture on social media of the words "Black Lives Matter" and "Justice For D" on the downtown statue.

DUVAL COUNTY, Fla. — More apparent vandalism was discovered on a statue of Andrew Jackson in front of the Jacksonville Landing.

Action News spotted a picture on social media of the words "Black Lives Matter" and "Justice For D" on the downtown statue.

The message apparently refers to D'Angelo Stallworth, who was shot and killed in May by Jacksonville police.

The person who posted the picture told Action News that he saw it early on July 4. We checked out the situation and it appears that the graffiti has been removed.
