JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Action News Jax teams are at the scene of heavy police activity at I-295 and Blanding Boulevard in the Argyle Forest neighborhood.
In an X post, the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office confirmed that an officer shot a suspect near Blanding Boulevard and Argyle Forest Boulevard. The suspect was transported to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
JSO also said that no officers were injured during the shooting. They are asking drivers to please avoid the area.
Traffic cameras show multiple Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office cruisers pulled over in the right lane of Blanding Boulevard. A section of the road can also be seen taped off to traffic.
