Heavy rain, flooding threat to start the week

Jacksonville, Fl — It’s a wet start to the week from the left over rain last night. Action News Jax Meteorologist Alyssa Pejic is tracking more showers and thunderstorms to start the work week. NE Florida counties are under a Flood Watch with the potential for heavy rain.

“These storms will be moving very slowly, creating localized flooding across many locations”, said Pejic.

More scattered showers and storms are likely to develop tomorrow and Wednesday before drier air moves in later in the week. Friday will feel refreshing with high temperatures only in the low 80s.

TROPICS: Tropical Storm Peter and Rose in the open Atlantic will both stay out to sea.
