International flight diverted to Jacksonville after passenger exposes himself

A man was taken in to federal custody after being removed from a flight that diverted to Jacksonville.

The Jacksonville Aviation Authority confirms to WOKV that a flight out of Cancun, Mexico destined for Frankfurt, Germany, was diverted Wednesday night because of an unruly passenger. The FBI Jacksonville Division confirms the man was reportedly intoxicated and made threats to fellow passengers.

That man has been identified as Oliver Gee, 34, from England.

According to the criminal complaint, about an hour into the flight, Gee threatened to kill another passenger and even threatened a three-year-old child.

Gee went on to eventually remove his clothes and expose his genitals. Then, when a crew member and a fellow passenger tried to escort him to a bathroom, Gee slapped them both.

Gee had to be restrained until the flight landed.

He was then removed from the plane, which then took on more fuel and safely departed the Jacksonville International Airport.

The US Attorney’s Office tells WOKV charges are pending further investigation.
