These gifts are fulfilling children’s Christmas wishes.

Tyshondra Bell has two grandkids: a one-year-old and a newborn.

From diapers, a baby bathtub, and a Minnie Mouse ride-on toy, her trunk is filled with items that were on her family’s Christmas wish list but were difficult to afford.

“This year has been kind of not so good,” said Bell.

But through the generosity of the community, Bell is receiving Christmas gifts for her family.

“It just warms your heart to see,” said Maj. Keath Biggers, the area command for the Salvation Army in Northeast Florida.

And local volunteers came together to help load those gifts for families.

“It just really brings it to you what really the spirit of Christmas is all about, giving to those in need,” said Biggers.

As a first-time angel tree recipient,  this is bringing joy and spreading happiness to Bell’s family.
