JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens is celebrating the birth of a new baby giraffe!
13-year-old Luna became a mother for the sixth time when she gave birth to a male calf, the zoo announced Friday.
The zoo says both mom and baby are strong and healthy.
Our tower of giraffes grows by another long neck 😍 Today, 13-year-old Luna gave birth to her 6th calf—on exhibit! The gender is not yet known, but we are so excited to continue to share more soon.
