JACKSONVILLE BEACH, Fla. — PHOTOS: Father of two killed outside of Jacksonville Beach restaurant
A man was shot and killed early Sunday as he walked along the 400 block of 1st Street North in Jacksonville Beach.
According to Jacksonville Beach Police Department, Leon D'Shawn Bennett, 23, was shot following a fight that happened earlier on the sidewalk in front of The Pier Restaurant.

After the fight, several males involved in the altercation left the area and Bennett headed north along 1st Street, police said.
The Jax beach police department says several men fought on a sidewalk near the Pier Cantina. After the fight broke up, Bennet left. While he walked down the sidewalk, JBPD says someone involved in the fight inside a white four door sedan drove by and shot him. pic.twitter.com/AQkd7ucjB0

Jacksonville Beach Police said a white four-door vehicle approached Bennett, and an unknown occupant of the car shot Bennett on the sidewalk. The car, filled with several males fled, heading west on 7th Avenue North.
