JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — MORE PHOTOS: Home a total loss following morning fire in north Jacksonville
Flames tore through Giovanna Newvill’s Waynesboro Avenue home in the Sherwood Forest neighborhood early Wednesday morning. It was the second fire there in less than 12 hours. Firefighters say the second fire left the home as a likely total loss.
“Unfortunately, I didn’t have insurance, everything I have is in there,” Newvill said fighting back tears, “it’s hard, I don’t know what to do.”
Newvill and her brother were not home at the time of the second fire because they were staying somewhere else after a fire left less-severe damage Tuesday night.

The Red Cross tells Action News Jax they are now helping the victims, and Newvill and her brother are staying with family.
JFRD told Action News Jax firefighters made sure the first fire was out last night before leaving, had cut the power and are now working to find out what started both fires.
Action News Jax has requested the incident reports and calls for service records for these fires from JFRD, and will report the findings once they are released.
