Jaguars: Head Coach interviews with Steve Spagnuolo, Aaron Glenn, and Ben Johnson

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — As of late Saturday afternoon, the Jacksonville Jaguars interviewed three candidates for the team’s head coach position.
The team interviewed Kansas City Chiefs defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo on Friday night, and Detroit Lions defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn on Saturday morning, both virtually. As of 4:08 p.m., the team confirmed a completed interview with Detriot Lions offensive coordinator Ben Johnson.
The firing of Head Coach Doug Pederson was announced Monday morning and Jaguars owner Shad Khan decided to retain Trent Baalke as general manager to help with the coach search.
The Jaguars first shared a list of head coaching candidates the team requested to interview on Tuesday morning. The following candidates, along with Glenn, were included on that list:
Buccaneers offensive coordinator Liam Coen (Jaguars are the only team to request an interview so far)
Lions offensive coordinator Ben Johnson (interviews also requested by New England Patriots, and Bears)
Philadelphia Eagles offensive coordinator Kellen Moore (Saints have also requested an interview)
On Wednesday night, the team said it had also requested an interview with Minnesota Vikings defensive coordinator Brian Flores, who also was requested to be interviewed bythe New York Jets and Chicago Bears to interview for their head coach positions.
On Thursday morning, the team said it had requested an interview with Spagnuolo. The Jets and Raiders have also requested interviews with Spagnuolo, according to reports.
