Jacksonville man sentenced to 15 years as armed career criminal

JACKSONVILLE, Fla — A Jacksonville man was sentenced to 15 years in federal prison for possessing a firearm as a convicted felon.

According to the courts, the man, Jucory Randall Kirtsey, qualified for an enhanced sentence as an Armed Carer Criminal.

According to court documents, JSO had executed a search warrant at Kirtsey’s residence due to reported narcotics activity. During the warrant, officers had located a loaded pistol inside his home, which he later admitted to owning.

As a convicted felon, Kirtsey was strictly prohibited from possessing any firearms or ammunition.

The case was investigated by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office, and the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.
