A makeshift memorial was set up at St. Nicholas Park after Sunday’s deadly shooting.
The victim was identified as 20-year-old Lamonte Dabney.
JSO said Dabney was walking to the park with his girlfriend, Leeanndra Members, and her children when he got into an argument with the unknown suspect.
The argument ended, but the suspect walked towards the victim and fired multiple times, according to police.

“Nobody will ever take his place. He will forever be remembered,” Members said.
The suspect was last seen wearing a red top and red pants. JSO said they don’t believe this was a random shooting.
Members made an emotional plea for answers.
“My children and I are really, really hurting. We would really, really like to be at peace. Please say something,” Members begged.
A check of JSO’s crime map revealed 14 reported robberies and assaults within a 1-mile radius of the park in the last four weeks.
JSO said they have been called out to the park nine times within the last year.
