The victim of a Christmas morning shooting in Woodland Acres told Action News Jax doctors could not remove the bullet in his lower back.
He said the bullet shattered inside his bone.
He was released from the hospital on Wednesday.
The victim said he was on too much medication to feel comfortable with an on-camera interview, but he was willing to talk off-camera.

He said the shooters parked at the stop sign at the end of Jasper Avenue and one man said, “How about now?” before firing at him.
He said he pushed his cousin inside the front door to safety before he was struck by a bullet himself.
Action News Jax counted six bullet holes in the front door.
After the shooting, the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said the suspects led officers on a 4-mile chase into Arlington.

JSO used a pit maneuver to stop the suspects’ white SUV on Cesery Boulevard.
An officer was hurt when he crashed into a pole during the chase, knocking out power to neighboring homes.
Three 18-year-old suspects are now in custody.
Two faced a judge on Wednesday.
Rodney Geddes’ bond was set at $150,000 and Antonio Brown’s bond was set at $100,000.
Clarence Mayweather is also in jail, suspected of resisting an officer without violence.
The victim said he’s seen the suspects before because they’re fighting with a young family member of his.
