Missing woman found alive in North Carolina

UPDATE: Missing woman Kourtney Leino has been found alive in North Carolina, according to Rockingham County Sheriff Office.

Authorities said they received a call from a relative of Leino's alleged abductor, Matthew Dalton, saying that Dalton and Leino were at a home in Stoneville, North Carolina.

Deputies arrived at the home and Dalton ran into the woods surrounding the home, but was quickly taken into custody.

Leino was found inside the home and is now under the protection of the Rockingham County Sheriff's deputies.

Dalton is being held on a $500,000 bond for a first degree kidnapping of an adult charge out of Jacksonville.

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office is searching for a missing 23-year-old woman.

Kourtney Leino is in danger, police say, and may have been abducted by Matthew Dalton, 23.

JSO said that their investigation revealed that Leino could be in danger and being held against her will.

They may be driving in a 2-door Nissan Altima with the Florida tag HLHKI7. JSO said they may be in the local area, North Carolina or Virginia.

Leino is described as a woman with red hair and green eyes.

Dalton also goes by Rice Chapman, police said.
