Man in critical condition after vehicle shot multiple times in Jamestown area

A young child was killed and his older sister was injured in a shooting in Buffalo, New York Friday night.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A man in his mid-20s is in critical condition after being shot multiple times early Monday morning while inside his car in the Jamestown area, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.

According to JSO, an adult male in his mid-20s was reportedly shot at multiple times while inside his vehicle around 3:00 a.m.

JSO reported that the victim managed to drive himself to the 2700 block of Starratt Road, where he was later found and transported to the hospital in critical condition. Authorities say the man sustained at least one gunshot wound to the chest, but his car was struck by multiple bullets.

No firearm was reportedly recovered from the victim’s vehicle, and while residents in the area reported hearing gunfire, no one witnessed the shooting or captured it on video.
