JTA has discontinued the seasonal Beaches Trolley and is expected to announce a new partnership with Beachside Buggies as a replacement.
The Beaches Trolley used to run from South Beach Regional Shopping Center to Atlantic Blvd. between May and September.
It ran Friday and Saturday nights from 7 p.m. to 2:30 a.m. and on select holidays, including Memorial Day, Fourth of July and Labor Day.
JTA said it has no plans to resume Beaches Trolley service in 2017 and will instead announce a new partnership with Beachside Buggies.
Beachside Buggies currently offers free rides in Jacksonville Beach Monday through Sunday.
Current schedule:
Monday-Wednesday 3p.m.- Midnight
Thurs - Friday 3p.m. - 2a.m.
Saturday 11a.m. - 2a.m.
Sunday 11a.m. - Midnight
