Health inspectors saw rodents, flies and more roaches than they could count in this week's Restaurant Report.
Action News Jax anchor Romney Smith visited Harmonious Monks in Jacksonville Beach. A health inspector saw rodent droppings under the dish machine, a soiled soda gun and no soap at the employee hand wash sink. It was temporarily shut down last Thursday.
The manager didn't want to go on camera, but said they tried to do the best they could with building maintenance and were able to address pest control issues. Harmonious Monks reopened the next morning after a clean follow-up inspection.

A health inspector at Sushi House/Sunrise Huang in Yulee saw flies in the kitchen and sushi area, more than 50 live roaches and more than 60 dead roaches. It was temporarily shut down. In a follow-up inspection there were still pest control issues, so it remained closed until a third health inspection, which was clean.
At Greek Village in Orange Park, a health inspector saw more than 50 live roaches and beef, feta cheese and tomatoes held too warm. Inspectors also saw a household bug spray present, which is a health violation to have household cleaners instead of professional grade pest control. Greek Village was temporarily shut down, but allowed to reopen after a follow-up inspection.
Health inspectors visited to Pit Stop Concessions. They saw an employee working with multiple items without washing their hands, no potable running water and food other than hot dogs being prepared on the cart. It was temporarily shut down, but reopened hours later after all errors were fixed.
There were no restaurants with clean inspections last week.
