A push to save Mayport’s littoral combat ships is making progress.
A defense spending bill that has passed House and Senate committees would keep five of the eight LCS vessels.

Action News Jax first reported in April on the plan to de-commission all eight.
It stems from an issue with the $300 million ship’s engine.

The Jax Chamber is now asking people to sign a letter imploring Congress to save the ships.
