JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — JEA has approved a bill credit for customers that is expected to amount to about $25 on their May bill.
During a virtual board meeting, JEA’s interim CFO recommended a credit to all customers on May 2020 bill because JEA has been able to lower their fuel cost over five years.
JEA also discussed how it would implement the credit, whether it would be a bill credit, debit card or check.
The board discussed pros and cons of each and decided on a bill credit.
JEA interim CFO says this credit would come out to about $25 per average residential customer. They’re doing this by crediting fuel charge. @ActionNewsJax pic.twitter.com/advOFJnKoO
