JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — JEA is expecting customers to have higher utility bills because of the recent winter weather, and the utility is reminding customers of their payment options.
You can request a payment extension. This gives you 10 to 15 days beyond your due date to pay.

JEA also offers payment arrangements, which allow you to pay your bill in monthly installments.
If you’re going through a more difficult time, you can call United Way at 211 to connect with nonprofits that offer financial assistance to qualifying families.
There is also the MyBudget billing program. It averages your past usage so your bill is about the same each month.
