JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — JEA’s rate review committee will discuss raising customer’s bills on Tuesday with the goal of generating more than $100 million in new revenue over the next two years.
The proposal includes electric bills going up in April about $4.67 on average per month.

Then in October, it would jump another $7.34 a month, and both of those do not include multiple base rate increases.
The utility is also instituting tiered pricing for electric that will increase the costs for average users, and water will also get more expensive.

During this meeting, JEA will also discuss giving Vickie Cavey, CEO of the company, a 25% pay raise. JEA will propose the following:
- Salary of $700,000 a year
- $2,000 monthly business allowance
- $850 monthly car allowance
