JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department reported that it put out a house fire on Tropic Drive East.
At approximately 2 a.m., dispatchers responded and safely removed five people from the home before putting out the fire. No injuries were reported, and the Red Cross was not called.
Capt. Eric Prosswimmer said the state fire marshal will determine what caused the fire.
